At school we have been reading about the 'Northern Lights' and were pleased to see Aurora Australis was present last night and viewed in the lower South Island.

Nicola and her mother made delicious Gingerbread Dogs for us to have at morning tea. Nicola made the icing and decorated the biscuits. She also used small silver balls for eyes and chains.

Last Saturday Brooklyn went to Tap Dancing Competitions in the Mayfair Theatre. Competitions began at 3pm and her performance was at 4.30. Prizes were given at 5 and Brooklyn won a trophy and gold medal for first prize. Congratulations!
We were able to see Venus using our sun viewing glasses - thank you to Susan from the Dunedin Observatory who delivered the glasses at short notice. We all marveled at how small Venus is.
