A mihi is how you introduce yourself and your whanau formally in Maori. We are learning to do this and have created a digital mihi. Below is an example for the class to learn how to write their own.

Swimming Lessons
Swimming Lessons for Room 11 on PhotoPeach
Swimming
Every Monday Room 11 and room 10 get to go on a bus to Moana Pool to learn how to swim. Some people have to go to the learners’ pool because they’re not very confident at swimming. Room 11 get to go first in the wave pool and room 10 get to have a lesson first. Some of my friends don’t like swimming but I say swimming is awesome. by Orlando
How we created our Picaso Art Works
Picasso art
On Thursday the 15 of March we made some art based on Picasso. We did a face with half of the face looking to the front and half with a view from the side. We used some black paper, some pastles and some back dye. First we split the page in thirds and drew a face with each eye looking in the opposite direction. Then we coloured half of the face in cold colours and the other half in warm colours. It took quite a long time but finally we were finished. It looked awesome I was very proud of my art. By Emma

In the style of Picaso
In room 11 we have been studying how Picasco painted two faces one in profile and the other facing straight ahead.
